Why am I charged a cancellation fee?

Cancellation fees apply to special order items because these products are not part of our regular inventory and are ordered specifically for you once your order is placed.
After a special order is submitted, we are typically required to pay the supplier immediately for the product, as well as inbound shipping, applicable duties, taxes, and other non-refundable fees. Once the item is already in transit to us, these costs cannot be recovered.
If a special order is cancelled at that point, we must either:

  • Add the item to our inventory and hold it until another customer purchases it, or
  • Return it to the supplier or manufacturer, which often involves additional shipping costs and, in some cases, restocking fees.

Cancellation fees are in place to help offset a portion of these incurred costs and allow us to continue offering special order items to customers.
