Cancellation fees apply to special order items because these products are not part of our regular inventory and are ordered specifically for you once your order is placed.
After a special order is submitted, we are typically required to pay the supplier immediately for the product, as well as inbound shipping, applicable duties, taxes, and other non-refundable fees. Once the item is already in transit to us, these costs cannot be recovered.
If a special order is cancelled at that point, we must either:
- Add the item to our inventory and hold it until another customer purchases it, or
- Return it to the supplier or manufacturer, which often involves additional shipping costs and, in some cases, restocking fees.
Cancellation fees are in place to help offset a portion of these incurred costs and allow us to continue offering special order items to customers.
